WIRELESS IMAGE TRANSFER

Thanks to Bluetooth wireless technology, the UPX-C300 Digital Passport Printing System eliminates the cumbersome cable between camera and printer. Photos to be printed can be transmitted directly from camera to printer wirelessly. This allows for the printer to be securely installed by the cashier or at a separate counter away from the shooting studio. The workflow is improved as this process eliminates the need to remove a memory card from the camera for insertion into the printer. Another passport or ID photo can be taken as soon as captured images are transmitted to the printer.
For even greater productivity, up to 3 printers* can be supported through the Bluetooth connection. The photographer can transmit images while the first passport/ID photo is being printed. This improves workflow and is a perfect solution for high-volume print locations or passport/ID fairs.

* The UPX-C300 camera communicates with the UPDX100/3 printer only. For other UPDX100 printer inventory, the printer firmware must be upgraded to version V3.01 in order to communicate with the C300 camera. The latest firmware upgrade is available from http://www.sony.net/Products/DP-driver

              EASY OPERATION

From image capture to printing, all functions including size adjustment can be performed easily from the UPX-C300 camera. The camera incorporates simple steps – Capture, Review and Transfer/Print – to effortlessly transmit images to the printer wirelessly via the Bluetooth connection.
There are 9 different languages to choose from for the LCD display. When a specific region is chosen after the language selection, the major formats utilized in that region will be activated for use. If the format is not available in the selection list, the operator may create or add an original format in the “SET UP” menu. Languages supported include: Japanese (JP), English (GB), German (DE), French (FR), Italian (IT), Spanish (ES), Russian (RU), Dutch (NL), Portuguese (PT)

              AUTOMATIC FACE ALIGNMENT

In the UPX-C300 system, Sony incorporates state-of-the-art face recognition technology. By simply pressing the “AUTO FRAME” button, a shifted face image can be automatically aligned to fit in the frame box. This function makes it easier to capture digital photos of infants and toddlers. The position and size of face can also be manually adjusted using the control buttons and zoom lever.

              LARGE 3” LCD DISPLAY AND OVERSIZED FACE STROBE FLASH

Thanks to the large 3” color LCD display of the UPX-C300 camera, it’s easy for the camera operator to adjust the position and size of the face. The oversized face strobe flash offers ideal exposure for shooting passport/ID photos when the distance between customer and camera is the recommended 6 feet. The large flash helps the operator get the digital photo right the first time for customer satisfaction.

              COLOR AND B&W PRINTING

The UPX-C300 system provides both color and black and white (B&W) print options for a variety of Passport/ID photo applications.

              FILTER COMPATIBILITY

A 52mm filter can be attached to the UPX-C300 camera. Filters such as lens protectors or DF filters to reduce light transmission can be utilized.

SECURITY CABLE COMPATIBLE

The UPX-C300 system is equipped with a security cable slot. The camera can be quickly and conveniently tethered to deter theft. Visit www.kensington.com for various security-cable solutions.

              PRINT QUEUE FUNCTIONALITY

The UPX-C300 system offers a print queue function that allows the user to store a number of captured images after preview for batch printing. They can be printed together rather than printing each image as it’s captured. This new feature is ideal for high print volume locations or for use at passport/ID fairs.
