Identification pictures: A lucrative business for the photo retailer

Until recently, one of the major draw backs was that, you didn´t know what you were going to get until the famous Polaroid print revealed itself.

December 9, 2005

Already printed images would not be satisfactory due to too much or too little light, subjects eyes being closed, or general dissatisfaction with the image captured. Also, the consumable cost was high due to waste.

In this Digital era, the photo retailer now has a large selection of digital systems to choose from that will ensure that the problems of the past do not recur. Furthermore, the high profitability of ID and passport photos has never been as true as today.

No more wasted pictures. Now the photo retailer does not print until they have a good clear image. This helps to ensure that the photo is the right one, and that the customer is satisfied with it. The cost per print as well has dropped dramatically, making the I.D. and passport business more affordable than ever.
